Lord, what a day…
Well, I, for one was excited!
I shot 172 frames, spent 4 hours choosing, shopping, chopping, and organizing,
and then posted 2 photo essays for the 4th.
Hey there, today was the perfect, and I mean PERFECT day weather wise and everything else.
This Army base really made some people happy by throwing this celebration, mainly kids, but big kids too.
I saw a dude walk by with a canon, and a lense on it miles long. I stopped him and asked him politely, HOW MUCH???
1300 dollars. geez.
I was just salivating over his camera.
But I look at these photo essays and I think I done good peeps. I like them. I had fun taking them.
incase your wondering, you will see no kids faces on the internet except my own kids.
Though i pretty much always ask permission to take the kid’s photo, I don’t wish to get in mega doo doo by posting their face on the WWW.
Big and little A were having fun for once.
The fireworks display…omg you just have to see the pics. i mean i’m not even done with the rest, and these 4, just awed me.
The band, Silver Bullet played for like 4 hours it was cool. They have said you can find them on myspace, but they played some great tunes, mostly your classic rock and roll and country. We certainly loved them.
We ate BBQ ribs, cole slaw, funnel cake and shaved ice. The girls got baloon animals done, and watched the kids go after the bouncy houses, eat watermelon and spit seeds in contests.
There was a small car show, sky divers (doing that photo essay tommorrow) and just generally a peaceful, contented, tight knit community coming together.
Though I generally reserve the photo essays for Sunday, I’ll pretty much always do one if there are awesome photo ops like today. Well, tell you more later, it’s nearly 3 a.m.!
