Whining is Skunky

 

They did everything but hold hands.  

There were 5 little skunks  trotting across the road in a line, in the semi-darkness, their white striped backs shimmering in the street light. 

 They made a left hand turn at the day care center lawn (which is across the street from us)   and crossed it, all without missing a step or getting out of the line they were in. 

 Doug and I watched from the front  porch and chuckled. 

 It’s always good to laugh in the balmy summer evening.  Both of us were relaxed together tonight having finally figured out the vacation/money issue.

  I will get to see my daughter after all, and hopefully treat her to a great birthday visit.  Yay     I feel like that alone made the day worth it. 

  Work was hard today but someone else finished the time cards for me and that alone was awesome. 

The paperwork continued to flow today as I struggled to get 4 reports routed through and delivered where they were supposed to go.  I’m finding that by whining less (thinking of going “cold turkey” on the whining actually)  I waste less energy.  The show as they say must go on.
