So what do you do for fun?

 

Downtown San Antonio Library keeps a secret.  A sculpture that “stands” ceiling high, on it’s own platform.  Each piece of this sculpture is hand blown taking anywhere from 1 to 4 hours PER individual PIECE to create. 

 

 

When the artist began placing the sculpture together, he started from the bottom and went up, with a map of each piece having to be precisely put in it’s own place before the next one went on.  This piecing together  took many hours to complete.

Just sayin

I’ll have none of this speculative reading about the economy, or businesses, nor serious subjects in general. 

 I hand my brand new business week over to someone having never actually read it, only thumbed through it.

  The “thumbing” told me everything I ever wanted to know. 

 a)I’m glad I don’t pay for 20 pages of glossy bad news stapled together and

b)  life sucks when you dwell on the negative. 

 Instead, today was randomly  napping, followed by a half hearted romp on the track.  I love the sound my running shoes make when they hit the track. 

When I got there however,  I was  already in a grumpish mood because Big A broke the only pair of headphones I actually own now, and hence,  I have no music to run (jog/walk/crawl) by.

   Nearby, a family cuts across the grass with a stroller and 3 small kids.   Having just run my 2 miles, I am resting on the lawn and the kids are laughing and laughing, and it makes me instantly smile also.

  It’s then that I realize the family is foreign.  They aren’t speaking English at all, but  I am cheered up nevertheless, by one thing, and one thing only.  It’s when I realize that a child’s laughter is universal in any language.
